Preventive veterinary care

Wellness care tailored to your pet.

Preventive care is most useful when it reflects the individual pet. We consider age, medical history, lifestyle, travel and exposure risk when recommending next steps.

More than a vaccine visit

A wellness examination creates a baseline and gives us time to discuss nutrition, behavior, dental health, parasite prevention, weight, mobility and changes you may have noticed at home.

Individualized recommendations

Vaccines and screening tests are recommended according to your pet’s life stage and risk. Florida’s year-round climate also makes consistent heartworm, flea, tick and intestinal-parasite prevention an important conversation for many pets.

Preparing for the appointment

  • Bring or send previous medical records.
  • List medications, supplements and preventives.
  • Note changes in appetite, thirst, elimination, activity or behavior.
  • Bring a fresh stool sample if our team requests one.

My pet seems healthy. Why schedule an examination?

Pets can compensate for illness and may not show obvious signs early. Routine examinations help us recognize changes and establish what is normal for your pet.
