In-house laboratory testing
On-site testing can provide timely information about blood cells, organ function, hydration, glucose and other clinically important values. The appropriate tests depend on your pet’s history and examination findings.
Digital radiographs
Radiographs help evaluate bones, joints, the chest and abdomen. They may be recommended after injury or when symptoms suggest a condition that cannot be assessed by physical examination alone.
How results are used
A test result is one part of the clinical picture. Dr. Kim interprets findings alongside your pet’s symptoms, history and examination, then discusses what the results mean and whether further evaluation is appropriate.
Will every sick pet need bloodwork or radiographs?
No. Diagnostic recommendations are based on the individual patient and the questions the examination raises.
Can testing be completed during the appointment?
Many tests can be performed in-house. Timing varies by test and by the pet’s medical needs, so please ask our team during your visit.
